Tingey Reunion

Following the Cheney Reunion in Idaho, we hustled back, repacked, and headed to Bear Lake for Tricia's family reunion. Mike and Stacie even made it out from Pennsylvania which was extra fun for all of us. Activities included water skiing, jet skiing, golf, minature golf, kids crafts, lawn golf, bike riding, tons of beach time and pool time, and of course lots of good eats.

Cheney Reunion

We had the Cheney Reunion at mom and dad's place this year up in Gooding, Idaho. It was the first time I believe since Duke and Morhgan got married that we had all the sibilings and grandkids together. We really had a great time and the kids all seemed to get along great. Mom and Dad had everything planned out that there was never a dull moment. Events included water skiing, golfing, shooting skeet, riding four wheelers, washing buses, family photos, board games, kids' crafts, and touring the new Twin Falls Temple set open in August. Mom and Dad were recently called to be Temple Ordinace workers. Thanks to all that came, especially Jake and Belle since there is no easy way to Gooding from D.C.

Gallery

We recently finished some yard work in our backyard. We moved plants, barked several areas, and brought in some more pea gravel to put around the fire pit. As you can tell, I was feeling victorious at the end of some a project.......I even had a gallery enjoying the show and some cold treats.

After The Race

A couple days after my race, I took Tricia and the kids on a small drive to show them some areas that were spectacular to run through. They were very difficult legs of the race near Snowbasin, and I'm very glad it wasn't me running them, but the views were fantastic which was one of the truly great things about this race. We found some wild flowers still in bloom.

Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay

Somehow, I got talked into running my first race ever. There have many times in the last 10 years where I've had a small itch to run a marathon. I just don't like running that much!!! But, in an effort to see if I would like running at all, I consented to run the Wasatch Back Ragnar Relay. (you should google this to find out more). It consists of a 12 man relay team. Each team (578 total teams) runs from Logan to Park City. That is roughly 180 miles. Each team member runs 3 legs that vary from 4 to 8 miles each. My legs were 4.1, 3.9, and 4.1 miles. Our team ran it in 27 hours 27 minutes. I felt pretty good about that effort and my effort as well. You can tell from the photo that I was definitely spent. It really was fun to pack 6 guys in each van and drive all over, with little to eat, even less sleep, and nothing but your team pushing you. Incidentally our team came in 178th. First place went to BYU's cross country team who it in 17 hours and some change. Talk about slow pokes....hahahaha. They started about 9 hours after us and caught us in Heber City. I still don't know if I have the desire to run a marathon, but I'm very much considering a Sprint Triathlon. Any takers?????

Big Sister

Grayce has many friends in our neighborhood. But if she is out, Mason just freaks if he can't go out as well. Grayce is so good with Mason, and often takes time out from friends to take her little brother for a stroll up the street.

Musikgarten

Grayce and Mason enjoyed having Musikgarten classes this year. Grayce acutally has been enrolled for a few years now, but has thoroughly enjoyed it. Their teacher Ms. Amy has been fanatastic and it has been a lot of fun to watch the kids gain an appreciation for music. Mason may actually get some rhythm unlike his daddy.

Spring

OK. I know it is the middle of summer, but I'm already so tired of being hot. In an effort to cool off, I came across these pictures of Tricia and kids in one of the first trips to Bear Lake for the year. I think there actually may have been ice chunks still floating out there. Anyhow, summer shots of Bear Lake are soon to follow.

Technical Difficulities

Sorry gang it has been so long since our last post. We were having some troubles with our computer and audio function. The audio was locking up our site. It actually continues to do so, but I was able to bypass that function for a bit so I could get a post up. Anyhow, we are all doing well. I'll have plenty of posting and photos to share after our trip to Bear Lake. Hope everybody had a great 4th of July.
