It may be a crime to keep these 2 apart.....They really did have a great time. Grayce can hardly wait to come again.

Pennsylvania

Tricia and Grayce took a trip out to see Isabelle and family. We had tried so hard to get there for Isabelle's baptism, but alas, it just didn't work out. With the flight benefits we have, we finally found a weekend to send the girls out. I had intended to send them Saturday morning, but I happened on an open flight Friday night about 2 and half hours before the flight left. Tricia quickly packed, leaving, I'm sure many things they needed, but they made the flight. Mike and Isabelle drove to pick them up. They had a wonderful time. Thanks Rita for helping me Mason.

How Old Am I....... This Year?????

Hmmmm. It the annual debate each year as the year comes to an end. Tricia's birthday is on the 31st and since she is the birthday girl, we let her choose how old she is. That being said, the immense amount of smoke coming from those candles may suggest something. Happy Birthday Tricia!!!!!!!!!!

Christmas Part 2

We ventured up to Gooding on the day after Christmas to see my family. All but Jake's family made it out. It's always a real treat to have everybody there. You will note that Grayce got a sewing maching from Santa. Fortunately she has 2 wonderful Grandmas that love to sew and are showing her the ropes.

Christmas 2009

It was truly a blast to watch how excited the kids were this Christmas. Mason was absolutely beside himself and admittedly, I was highly entertained. After an enjoyable morning of opening gifts, it was off to Grandma and Grandpa's for yummy omlettes. They always taste Fantastic Bruce.

Christmas Eve

I had to work on Christmas Eve as well. So we enjoyed an afternoon together reading from Luke and letting the kids open their PJs. Bruce and Rita came up to enjoy a wonderful dinner with Tricia and the kids.

Family Christmas Party

With my Delta Job, everyone was kind enough to let us celebrate the family Christmas party during lunch rather than dinner. I believe all the kids performed and did wonderfully. I think the only melt down was Mason when somebody else sang jingle bells, when he was convinced that was his and his song only.

The Holidays just wouldn't be the same without making Christmas Trains for family, friends, and home teaching families!!!

Getting Ready for Christmas

It was really fun decorating for Christmas this year. Mason was finally old enough to just get really excited about the entire concept of Christmas. It was fun because both of the kids had fun helping us decorate the tree this year. We collect an ornament on most of our trips and we have a nice collection. When we decorate, it naturally leads to a lot of fun memories and story telling for the kids.

Thanksgiving 2009

In early November I was able to get a part time job with Delta. Naturally as one of the rookies, I had to work on Thanksgiving. Carlin and Troy graciously hosted as Bruce and Rita were attending Isabelle's baptism. Jessie helped prepare the turkey. Everything sure was tasty!!!!

Trains and More Trains

Mason absolutely loves trains. He is convinced that we don't have enough trains or tracks to build an adequate play area. But we do the best that we can, changing the track design up nearly every 30 minutes. The next best thing is watching Papas trains run around the Christmas Tree.

Oh Those Fall Leaves

For those that have been to our house, you know we have many wonderful mature trees in our backyard. Well, I say wonderful until I have to rake them up in the fall, and I swear, they just never stop coming. At least the kids have a great time in them.

Nut Cracker

A year ago, Grayce was invited to go with some friends to see the Nutcracker. We had some conflicts and it didn't work out. Tricia promised Grayce she could go this year and it all worked out. Tricia and Grayce went with some of our good friends the Larsens. Grayce was in hog heaven sitting with the older girls. Thanks Larsens.

Way to Go Grayce

Grayce's school was participating in Red Ribbon Week, which is the anti-drug campaign. She won 1st prize for all of the 1st Graders who submitted entries. Grayce's poster suggested fun ideas to do like, swimming, skiing, etc rather than be involved in drugs. Good work Grayce.

Bear Lake in October

We squeezed in another trip to Bear Lake. Naturally in October the water is much too cold to play in, but it also means that there are hardly any people there at all. It really is great fun to just hang out as a family at good old Bear Lake.
